UAN is nothing but Universal Account Number. UAN is created by Employees’ provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). UAN allows employees to easily manage their PF accounts. So many Employees are getting confused to activate the UAN Activation in the official website. Whenever an employee changes his / her organization there is a change in EPF number associated with him/her. Due to this. an employee can have various PF accounts. This increase the difficulty in managing your PF accounts. Therefore, EPFO created UAN which does not change throughout the lifespan.
UAN is 12-digit number which is given to an employee. Every employee is given a unique UAN by EPFO. For creating your unique UAN you must register yourself in EPFO and you must have an EPF account. And also you can UAN Activation in the official website of Unified Members Portal.
How to Activate Universal Account Number EPF UAN Activation at epfindia.gov.in or epfindia.com
The Universal Account Number(UAN) is given to employees through salary slip.
- Once you know your UAN, you must activate UAN Activation Go to https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/
- Now go to “UAN Member Portal” or “Unified Members Portal”
- Click on ‘Activate your UAN’
- Select the checkbox “I have read and understood the instructions”
- Fill the necessary information and either enter your UAN number or Member ID or Pan Number or Aadhaar Number.
- Enter your mobile number, select state and office.
- Enter Established ID and EPF number
- Do the process of CAPTCHA and select “GET PIN” for mobile authentication.
- Click the check box “I agree” and your 4 digit OTP.
- Then create your username and password.
- Again enter your personal information.
- Re-enter your password.
- Click”Submit” button.
- A confirmation message about registration process will be arrive on your mobile.
- Sign-in by using your created username and password.
- After downloading UAN card take printout of UAN card and write password and username that can avoid further difficulties.
Second Method for Activating UAN
If you want to Activate the UAN, then you must have your UAN number and PF member ID with you. Following the steps you have to follow:
- You have to Go the EPFO home page and tap on the ‘For Employees’ under the section ‘Our Services.’
- You have to tap on the Member UAN in the service section. You will reach the UAN portal.
- You have to add Universal account number and PF member ID.
- You have to add the Captcha characters and need tap on the ‘Get Authorisation Pin’ You will get the PIN at your number.
- Tap on I agree under the Disclaimer checkbox and add the OTP that you get on your mobile number. You have a tap on validating OTP and activate UAN.
- Even you can change your password. It is now possible when you log in to the UAN portal with the Universal account number as ID and password you receive on the mobile number.
You need some document to activate the UAN such as Bank account number, ID Proof, Address proof, PAN number and Aadhar card.
